Apartment moves

Studio to high-rise moves across LA & OC

Apartment moves come with their own obstacles: narrow stairwells, freight elevators you have to reserve, loading zones with a 30-minute limit, and building rules to clear before move day. We handle apartment moves all over Los Angeles and Orange County, and we plan around every one of those obstacles before move day so yours goes smoothly.

Whether it is a studio walk-up, a two-bedroom on the fourth floor, or a high-rise with a strict move-in window, we bring the right crew and gear: dollies and straps for the stair runs, pads for the door frames and corners, and shrink-wrap for every piece. We protect the walls, floors, and elevators on both ends, which protects your security deposit too.

We are a Pasadena-based crew working the whole LA and OC region. Book with us and you get movers who reserve the elevator, coordinate with building management, and know how to get a couch down a tight stairwell without a scratch.

Why choose us

An apartment move without the headache

Stairs, elevators, and building rules are our job — not your problem.

Stairs & elevators handled

Walk-ups, freight elevators, tight stairwells — we bring the dollies, straps, and crew to move it safely, and we reserve the elevator with your building ahead of time.

Building access, handled

Most apartment buildings have move-in windows, elevator reservations, and loading-dock rules. We coordinate the timing with building management on both ends so nothing stalls at the front desk.

Deposit-safe protection

Pads on the door frames, floor runners, and wrap on every piece — we protect the walls, floors, and corners on both ends, which protects your security deposit.

Right-sized for small moves

A studio should not cost like a house. We send the right crew and truck for your apartment, so you only pay for the move you actually have.

What we move

Every kind of apartment move

From a first studio to a full multi-bedroom, here is what an apartment move with us covers.

Studio & 1-bedroom moves

Smaller moves done fast and priced to match. The right-size crew and truck so you are not paying for a job bigger than yours.

2 & 3-bedroom apartments

Bigger apartments with more furniture and more boxes. We bring the crew to finish in a day and keep everything labeled by room.

High-rise & elevator buildings

We reserve the freight elevator, bring elevator pads, and work within the building move-in window so you are not stuck waiting in the lobby.

Walk-ups & stair carries

Third-floor walk-up with no elevator? We do it every week. Straps, dollies, and a crew that knows how to take a tight stairwell — built into the quote.

Dorms & student moves

Move-in and move-out for student housing and dorms, including tight campus parking and short loading windows. Quick, affordable, on schedule.

In-building & same-complex

Moving to a bigger unit in the same building or complex? We handle the short hop efficiently — no need to pay for a full long-haul move.

Prepare

How to prepare for your apartment move

A short checklist that keeps moving day on schedule and prevents the most common surprises.

01

Book early

Weekends and month-end dates fill up fast. Same-day is available, but booking 2-3 weeks ahead gives you the best crew options.

02

Get it in writing

Your booking confirmation should list date, arrival window, crew size, both addresses, and the agreed hourly rate. No surprises later.

03

Pack non-essentials first

Books, decor, closet items, off-season clothes — pack these days ahead. Label every box by room to speed up unloading.

04

Keep valuables with you

Jewelry, cash, passports, laptops, hard drives, medications, and house keys travel in your car — never the truck.

05

Reserve truck parking

Gated Mission Viejo communities need gate-guard clearance and a reserved move-in window — coordinate with your HOA 5-7 days ahead instead of a city permit.

06

Talk to your building manager

Mission Viejo HOAs and condo buildings often have move-in windows, elevator reservations, and COI requirements. Call your HOA ahead so move day isn't held up at the gate or the front desk.

07

Update your address

USPS mail forwarding, bank, employer, subscriptions, delivery apps, and the DMV — knock these out the week before the move.

08

Clear walkways

Hallways, doorways, stairs, and the path from front door to truck. Quick prep that saves real time on move day.

09

Set utilities up early

Schedule Santa Margarita Water District and SoCalGas to turn on at the new place the day before — so you walk into a working home.

10

Pack a "first night" box

Chargers, toiletries, towels, sheets, snacks, basic tools, and a change of clothes. Keep it with you so you're not unpacking at 11pm.

FAQ

Common questions

Don’t see yours? Call (626) 600-0341.

How much does it cost to move an apartment?
Apartment moves are priced by crew size, how much you are moving, the floor and access (stairs vs. elevator), and the distance between addresses. Most studios and 1-bedrooms wrap up in 2-4 hours; 2-bedrooms in 4-6. We give you a flat quote up front based on your specific apartment, so you know the total before move day.
Do you charge extra for stairs or no elevator?
We build stairs and walk-ups into your flat quote up front — there is no surprise stair fee added on move day. If your building has an elevator, even better; just let us know whether it is a passenger or freight elevator and whether it needs to be reserved, and we handle that.
What should I know about high-rise and elevator-building moves?
Most apartment buildings and high-rises have move-day rules — a reserved freight elevator, a limited move-in window, and paperwork the property manager may require. Check what your building needs ahead of time, and we'll plan the crew and timing around the elevator reservation and loading-dock access so move day runs smoothly.
Can you move a small studio? Is it worth hiring movers?
Yes, and yes. We size the crew and truck to your move, so a studio does not cost like a house. For a few hours of work you skip the heavy lifting, the stair runs, and the truck rental — and your walls and deposit stay protected. Studios are one of the most common moves we do.
Can you do a last-minute or same-day apartment move?
Often, yes. Apartment moves are smaller and faster to schedule, so when our calendar allows we can handle same-day and next-day moves. Call us at (626) 600-0341 and we will tell you what is open.
Will you protect the walls and floors so I keep my deposit?
That is a core part of every move. We pad door frames, lay floor runners, and wrap every piece, and we protect the elevators and hallways on both ends. Careful, deposit-safe moving is exactly what we do — your old place gets left the way you found it.
