Downtown studios to Sunkist Park homes

Culver City sits between Santa Monica and the LA Westside — a walkable city with a strong tech scene (Sony, Amazon, Apple TV studios) and historic Spanish revival homes. Downtown Culver City mixes mid-rise lofts, restaurant blocks, and freight elevator buildings near the Expo Line.

Sunkist Park and Carlson Park are tree-lined family neighborhoods with 1940s–60s homes and easy truck access. Fox Hills has condo towers and apartment complexes near the Westfield mall. Veterans Park and Lakeside Village blend single-family homes with small apartment buildings.

We drive in from our Pasadena base every week. Book with us and you get a crew that knows the Downtown freight elevator schedules, the residential block parking rules, and how to move efficiently in a tight Westside city.

What we move

Culver City moves we do every week

Four Culver City move types we do every week — with prep details.

Downtown lofts & studios

Mixed-use buildings with freight elevators, shared loading bays, and elevator reservation systems. We coordinate with building management before move day.

Sunkist Park family homes

Tree-lined residential blocks with deep yards, original 1940s–60s detail, and easy truck access. We send the right crew size to finish in the time we quoted.

Fox Hills condo towers

High-density condo buildings near the Westfield mall with HOA loading rules and COI requirements. We handle the paperwork before move day.

Carlson Park bungalows

Historic Spanish revival bungalows with original tile, narrow doorways, and detached garages. We pad floors and door frames; character preserved.

Prepare

10 tips to prepare for your Culver City move

A short checklist that keeps moving day on schedule and prevents the most common surprises.

01

Book early

Weekends and month-end dates fill up fast. Same-day is available, but booking 2-3 weeks ahead gives you the best crew options.

02

Get it in writing

Your booking confirmation should list date, arrival window, crew size, both addresses, and the agreed hourly rate. No surprises later.

03

Pack non-essentials first

Books, decor, closet items, off-season clothes — pack these days ahead. Label every box by room to speed up unloading.

04

Keep valuables with you

Jewelry, cash, passports, laptops, hard drives, medications, and house keys travel in your car — never the truck.

05

Reserve truck parking

Downtown Culver City and Expo Line corridors sometimes need a temporary parking permit — request 5-7 business days ahead. Most residential streets don’t need one.

06

Talk to your building manager

Culver City lofts and Fox Hills condo towers often have specific move-in rules — elevator reservations, COIs, time windows. Call ahead so move day isn't held up.

07

Update your address

USPS mail forwarding, bank, employer, subscriptions, delivery apps, and the DMV — knock these out the week before the move.

08

Clear walkways

Hallways, doorways, stairs, and the path from front door to truck. Quick prep that saves real time on move day.

09

Set utilities up early

Schedule Culver City Public Works (water) and SoCalGas to turn on at the new place the day before — so you walk into a working home.

10

Pack a "first night" box

Chargers, toiletries, towels, sheets, snacks, basic tools, and a change of clothes. Keep it with you so you're not unpacking at 11pm.

FAQ

Common questions

Don’t see yours? Call (626) 600-0341.

How much do local movers cost?
Local moves are priced hourly, based on crew size, how much you’re moving, and the distance between addresses. Most 1-bedroom apartments wrap up in 3-4 hours; 2-bedrooms in 4-6; full homes in a day. We give you a flat quote up front based on your specific move, so you know the total before move day.
Do movers pack for you?
Yes. We offer full packing, partial packing (just the fragile or tricky stuff), or no packing at all. We bring all the boxes, tape, paper, and bubble wrap — no need to source your own. We label everything by room and keep a clear inventory so nothing gets lost in transit.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. Your quote includes labor, truck, fuel, wrapping materials, and protection — the whole move. We don’t add surprise charges for stairs, long carries, or extra time we expected. If something changes that affects the price (an added couch, a blocked driveway), we tell you before we do the work, not after.
Do I need a parking permit in Culver City?
Downtown Culver City and dense corridors near the Expo Line sometimes need temporary parking permits — we tell you when booking if your address needs one and handle the City of Culver City paperwork. Most residential streets in Sunkist Park and Carlson Park don't need permits.
Can you handle Downtown loft moves with freight elevators?
Yes — Downtown Culver City loft buildings are a regular part of our schedule. We coordinate freight elevator times with building management, bring elevator pads, and stage furniture in the loading bay. Most buildings require a COI; we provide that.
Do you serve Mar Vista, Palms, and Marina del Rey?
Yes. Mar Vista, Palms, Westchester, Marina del Rey, and Cheviot Hills are all part of our regular Culver City service area at the same flat rates. Moving between these areas and Culver City is the same job for us — short drive, same crew.
